Purpose

To approve the Wolverhampton Local Plan
(Regulation 19) for consultation and delegate approval to submit,
subject to minor modifications

Content

That Cabinet:
1.   
Approve the Wolverhampton Local Plan - Regulation 19 (Appendix 1),
Sustainability Appraisal Report (Appendix 2) and Summary Leaflet
(Appendix 3) for consultation.
 
2.   
Delegate authority to the Cabinet Member for City Development, Jobs
and Skills, in consultation with the Director of City Development,
to make any necessary minor amendments to the Wolverhampton Local
Plan Regulation 19 (Appendix 1), Sustainability Appraisal Report
(Appendix 2), and Summary Leaflet (Appendix 3), prior to
commencement of the consultation process.
 
3.   
Delegate authority to the Cabinet Member for City Development, Jobs
and Skills, in consultation with the Director of City Development,
to receive a further report summarising key issues raised during
the Regulation 19 consultation, seeking approval for any proposed
minor modifications to the Wolverhampton Local Plan –
Regulation 19, and seeking approval for the text of Statements of
Common Ground to be agreed with neighbouring authorities and other
statutory bodies.
 
That Council be
recommended to:
1.   
Approve the submission of the Wolverhampton Local Plan –
Regulation 19, and any proposed minor modifications agreed under
delegated authority by the Cabinet Member for City Development,
Jobs and Skills in consultation with the Director of City
Development, to the Secretary of State for public examination,
subject to securing sufficient reserves for the examination
process.
