RESOLVED - That this
council

 

(i)          
urges Oscar Mayer's
management to work with workers and their trade unions to resolve the current
dispute;

(ii)         
disagrees with the concept
of 'fire and rehire' as an outdated means of management;

(iii)       
puts on hold cooperation with Oscar Mayer pending the resolution of
the current industrial dispute;

(iv)       
urges Oscar Mayer to re-instate employees who have been dismissed for not signing
new contracts, many of whom didn’t understand the terms or process; and

(v)         
supports
Clwyd Pension Fund's decision to ask the Welsh Pension Partnership to stop all
investments into Pemberton Asset Management (Oscar Mayer's majority
shareholder).
