Purpose

To carry out a review of appointments to Committees,
Sub-Committees, Panels and Working Group

Content

RESOLVED –

 

(i)        
That the sizes and political balance of the Statutory Groups, as set out in
Appendix 1 to report COGC/03/25, be agreed, and that the appointment of Members
to those seats so as to give effect to the wishes of the Political Groups to
which the seats are allocated be agreed.

 

(ii)       
That the size and political balance (where appropriate) of the Executive Board
Sub-Committees and Non-Statutory Groups as set out in Appendix 2 be agreed, and
that the appointment of Members to those seats so as to give effect to the
wishes of the Political Groups to which the seats are allocated be agreed.

 

(iii)        That Group Leaders provide the names of the
nominated Councillors to the Chief Officer Governance & Customer within 7
days.

 

(iv)         That
this matter be dealt with as an urgent item of business in accordance with
Section 5 (Rule 5.8.10(m)) of the Council’s Constitution.

 

Reason for decisions

 

(i)        To
agree the appointment of Members to the Statutory and Non-Statutory Groups
established by the Executive Board.

 

(ii)       The
reason for urgency is to allow those Members appointed to operate immediately.
