Purpose

Consultation Feedback Report and seek approval to proceed to
Statutory Notices

Content

RESOLVED –

 

(i)       That the
consultation feedback contained in the post consultation feedback reports
(Appendices 4-6) regarding the proposals to reduce the Published
Admission Number at Acton Park CP, Wat’s Dyke CP and Barker’s Lane CP be
noted.

 

(ii)      That Officers proceed to Statutory Notices
(Appendices 1-3) regarding the proposals.

 

(iii)     That a further report be submitted to
Members in July 2025 which will detail feedback from the objection period and
seek their approval for a preferred way forward.

 

Reasons for decisions

 

(i)       The Council has a duty to ensure that the
children and young people of Wrexham are being afforded the education and
learning opportunities they deserve, which includes providing suitable learning
environments and monitoring the demand for school places.

 

(ii)      To
improve the suitability and viability of the school estate.

 

(iii)      To
develop sustainable learning environments.
