Consultation Feedback Report and seek approval to proceed to
Statutory Notices

RESOLVED
–

 

 

(i)       That the consultation feedback contained
in the post consultation feedback report (Appendix 2a) regarding the proposal
to change the status of Ysgol Cae’r Gwenyn from a mainstream nursery school to
a primary special school and to change the age range from 3-4 to 3-7 be noted.

 

(ii)      That Officers proceed to Statutory Notice
(Appendix 1) regarding the proposal.

 

(iii)     That a further report be submitted to
Members in July 2025 which will detail feedback from the objection period and
seek their approval for a preferred way forward.

 

Reasons for decisions

 

(i)       The
Council has a duty to ensure that the children and young people of Wrexham are
being afforded the education and learning opportunities they deserve, which
includes providing suitable learning environments and monitoring the demand for
school places.

 

(ii)      To
improve the suitability and viability of the school estate.

 

(iii)      To
develop sustainable learning environments.
