Purpose

To seek approval for a lease to Brickfield Rangers of the site they currently use at Homestead Lane, at a nominal rent

RESOLVED –

 

(i)       That the
Chief Officer Housing be authorised, in consultation with the Lead Member for
Finance and Asset Management, to negotiate and agree terms for a 10 or 25 year
lease to Brickfield Rangers of the site they currently use at Homestead Lane,
at a nominal rent.

 

(ii)      That the Chief Officer Housing be
authorised, in consultation with the Chief Officer Governance & Customer
and Chief Officer Education, to arrange to comply with all appropriate
statutory notices and consultations under the Playing Fields (Community Involvement
in Disposal Decisions) (Wales) Regulations 2015.

 

(iii)     That the prospective lessee be required to meet
the full cost of any public notices and consultations, together with all other
incidental costs linked to the new lease.

 

Reason for Decisions

 

To enable a new lease to be negotiated on concessionary terms,
and to be in compliance with the Playing Fields (Community Involvement in
Disposal Decisions) (Wales) Regulations 2015, which has come into existence
since the original 2013 Executive Board approval.
