Purpose

In accordance with the Parent Governor Representatives and
Church Representatives Regulations (Wales) 2001, to consider the appointment of
three parent governors to the Lifelong Learning Scrutiny Committee (one from
primary, one from secondary and one representing additional learning needs)

Content

RESOLVED:

 

(i)        Samuel
Peter Regan be appointed to represent the Primary sector in respect of
the parent governor statutory co-opted member, to expire end of May 2029.

           

(ii)        The length of term of office for the co-optee representing secondary schools be extended to end of
May 2029.  As this position is currently
vacant, in accordance with legislation, the Authority
must seek nomination again within one year of the vacancy having arisen and at
six monthly intervals thereafter, until the vacancy is filled.

 

(iii)       George William Greenwood be appointed as a
parent governor statutory co-opted member to represent ALN, to expire end of
May 2029.

To meet the statutory requirement to have
representation of Parent

Governors on the Lifelong Learning Scrutiny
Committee.
