Purpose

To set out the Council’s role in the development of the new
Connect to Work programme within Wrexham. Connect to Work is a regional project
working in collaboration with the six Local Authorities

Content

RESOLVED –

 

(i)        That the Executive Board agrees in
principle to the commencement of the Connect to Work
programme within Wrexham and regionally through collaboration with
the six local authorities in North Wales, in line with the information set out in report COEP/45/25.

 

(ii)       That
a further report be submitted within 12 weeks, prior to the mobilisation of
delivery activity, to consider Wrexham’s contribution to the
Delivery plan, which will include further detail on risks and
opportunities.

 

Reasons for Decisions

 

To allow the Council to progress the
work required on a regional basis to establish the new Connect to Work employment support programme in
Wrexham County
Borough, which will benefit economically inactive people.
