Purpose
To seek approval to launch the Wrexham Small to Medium
Enterprise (SME) Manufacturing Grants Scheme following the approval of the
Flintshire & Wrexham Investment Zone
Content
RESOLVED –
(i) That the establishment of the Wrexham
SME Manufacturing Grants Scheme, in line with the initial criteria and
processes outlined in report COEP/80/25 be approved.
(ii) That
delegated authority be granted to the Interim Chief Officer Economy & Planning
to launch the grant and establish the approval process, management and
monitoring arrangements for its successful operation.
(iii) That
delegated authority be granted to the Interim Chief Officer Economy & Planning
and Chief Officer Finance & ICT, in consultation with the Lead Member
Finance & Asset Management, to review and vary the criteria and delivery
arrangements for the grant scheme, if required, to ensure its continued
effectiveness in delivering positive outcomes for Wrexham’s advanced
manufacturing sector.
Reason for decisions
To ensure the launch and delivery of an appropriate,
flexible support offer to
SMEs in Wrexham County Borough, that will contribute to the
delivery of the of the Flintshire & Wrexham Investment Zone
