RESOLVED – That the Constitution be revised in the following respects:

 

(i)         To update Section 13 Table 6 Scheme of Delegation Chief
Officer Economy & Planning to remove the delegation to set the fees and charges
for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licence Fees.

 

(ii)        For future fee levels and charges for Hackney Carriage and Private
Hire Licence Fees to be set by the Environmental Licence Committee in line with
the Council’s policy on full cost recovery basis.

 

Reasons for decisions

 

To ensure the Council’s
Constitution meets good governance requirements and enables the Council to
function effectively in discharging its responsibilities.
