Purpose

To approve a first set of measures and processes to deliver
a balanced budget in 2024/25 and to begin planning for future years.

Content

RESOLVED
–

 

(i)         That
the measures noted in Appendix 2 to report COFI/33/23, contributing £1.5m to
the budget position in 2024/25, be approved.

 

(ii)        That
the creation of a change and efficiency board in line with the terms of reference
attached as Appendix 3 be approved.

 

(iii)       That
a review of discretionary service provision, to be informed by service business
assessments and progressed through the board (above), aiming to identify
savings of up to 30% be approved.

 

(iv)      That this matter be dealt with as an urgent item of
business in accordance with Section 5 (Rule 5.8.10(m)) of the Council’s
Constitution.

board structure to support the delivery of a balanced budget for 2024/25 and beyond.
