For members to consider the recommendation of the City of
Culture Interim Board for the future governance and delivery model for the
Cultural Trust

RESOLVED
–

 

(i)        That
a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee using a foundation model be
established.

 

(ii)       That
the proposal to name the organisation Wrexham Community and Culture
Trust/Ymddiriedolaeth Cymunedol a Diwylliannol Wrecsam be supported, with the
plan to develop a public-facing name in the early part of next year.

 

Reason
for decisions

 

By supporting the recommendations set out in paragraphs 3.1 to 3.2 of
this report, the Council will have in place a robust governance structure for
an independent City of Culture delivery organisation which will also allow that
organisation to continue to support the cultural and creative potential of the
people of Wrexham after 2029.
