Purpose

To approve the terms and conditions for the new ‘Wrexham’s
Food Partnership’ and the guidance to enable the launch of a small grants
scheme to help deliver the Partnership’s objectives

Content

RESOLVED –

 

(i)         That
the Terms and Conditions for the new Wrexham Food Partnership be approved, as
detailed in Appendix 1 to report COEP/47/24.

 

(ii)        That
the guidance for the Food Partnership Small Grant Scheme as detailed in
Appendix 2 & 3 be approved.

 

(iii)       That
the Chief Officer Economy & Planning, in consultation with the Lead Member
Corporate Services and Lead Member Finance & Performance, takes the
necessary steps to launch the Small Grant Scheme.

 

Reason for decisions

 

To deliver the funding that has been allocated to
Wrexham by Welsh Government as part of a national funding stream, worth in the
region of £3 million that will support the development of cross-sector food
partnerships.
