Adoption of Amended Wyre Borough Council Local Validation Checklist
November 8, 2024 Director of Communities (Officer) Key decision Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
The Local Validation Checklist is a document
used on a daily basis by the Planning Department to Validate
Planning Applications. It requires regular updating to reflect
changes in legislation, regulations and local evidence documents.
This decision is the first update since adoption in June
2023.
In summary the changes relate to:
•Introduction of BNG (Validation requirements both at National
Level and Local so a new section to the NR9 and WR6 to accommodate
this along with appendix 2 at the back)
•Splitting the Planning Statement and the Business Plan into
two separate sections. Highlighting that we do not accept “Do
not scale” on plans etc – all minor
clarifications.
•Amendments to the Flood Risk Assessment section (WR15) this
now includes ref and hyperlinks to the new adopted SFRA and
technical note re FZ3b assessments, this replaces the previous
version.
•Amendments to the Affordable Housing Statement (WR1) to
reflect the mix and ref to the Housing Needs Assessment, this
replaces the previous version.
