Endorse Fylde coast Economic Needs Update and Employment Land Study

Decision

The Director of Communities submitted a report to consider the findings of the Fylde Coast Economic Needs Update and Employment Land Review (ELR) 2024 and to outline the next steps following the findings of the ELR.

Decisions

The Planning Policy and Economic Development Portfolio Holder agreed:

• That the Fylde Coast Economic Needs Update and Employment Land Review 2024 (Appendix 1) is endorsed and published as soon as possible, subject to minor editorial amendments to improve the clarity and to meet accessibility requirements.

• That the Fylde Coast Economic Needs Update and Employment Land Review 2024 is endorsed as evidence to inform the review of the Wyre Local Plan.

• That the Fylde Coast Economic Needs Update and Employment Land Review will be a material consideration in the determination of planning applications.

• That the Fylde Coast Economic Needs Update and Employment Land Review is endorsed and used to inform council policy and actions on matters relating to employment.
