Purpose

All local planning authorities are required to
publish an up to date timetable for the production of a Local
Plan.
Cabinet has previously considered this matter and delegated
responsibility.
That powers be delegated to the Head of Planning and Regeneration
(now Assistant Director of Planning and Building Control) in
consultation with the Planning Policy and Economic Development
Portfolio Holder to approve any update to the Local Development
Scheme (LDS).
This report updates the council's current LDS to reflect recent
changes in national planning policy.

To approve the update to the Local Development
Scheme (LDS) to provide an up-to-date Local Plan timetable that
reflects recent national planning policy updates.
