The Assistant Director of Environmental
Services submitted a report to seek approval for the allocation of
S106 funds from planning application 21/00341 (the development of
44 residential dwellings on land West of Broadway, Fleetwood)
together with monies secured by The Friends of Memorial Park, to
improve the playground facility on Memorial Park, Fleetwood.

Portfolio Holder agreed:

That approval is given for the allocation of £104,036 S106
money to Memorial Park, Fleetwood to undertake improvements to the
playground to enhance the current play offer on site.

That approval is given to accept the donation of £4,000 from
the Friends of Memorial Park towards the improvements.
 

·      
That the council’s 2025/26 Capital Programme be amended to
include the improvements to Memorial Park, Fleetwood.
 

·      
That approval is given to amend the council’s annual
maintenance and inspection programme for children’s
playgrounds to include this new equipment and manage future upkeep
within existing budgets.
