It was also agreed that the Committee would share its views with Mayor and Cabinet – as follows: The Public Accounts Select Committee takes note of the difficult financial situation that local government finds itself in nationwide and members endorse the proposal to bring forward the medium-term financial strategy and savings proposals early in the new financial year.
