Purpose:

Content: The Executive resolved to:   (i)            Consider this report and information within the Exempt Annexes and associated appendices and recommend to full Council that it approves a total budget of £7,520,000 to fund the acquisition of 26 new affordable homes in accordance with the business cases set out in Exempt Annexes 1 (a-c) of this report.   (ii)           Subject to full Council approving the necessary budget:   a.    Delegate authority to the Joint Strategic Director Economy, Planning and Place the authority to negotiate and enter into all contractual, pre-contractual and other documentation with developers and other third parties as required for the acquisition of the properties covered by this report, provided all such actions are in accordance with the approved budget.   b.    Delegate authority to the Assistant Director, Housing in consultation with the Joint Strategic Director Finance to review and change the tenure of the affordable shared ownership home at Ridgely Road, Chiddingfold to affordable rented should the housing market negatively impact the sale of the home (subject to any process or other requirements of the s106 legal agreement, provision of full financial information and appraisal, and provided there is not a negative net revenue impact to the business plan for the scheme).
