Purpose: The purpose of this report is to present the WBC SEND Sufficiency Statement for approval. This document sets out forecast pupil numbers requiring a specialist placement in Wokingham over the next five years, alongside the current / planned supply of places. This provides the basis for a Gap Analysis and consequent recommendations as to how to meet forecast places supply shortfalls. The report will seek approval from the executive to formally adopt the SEND Sufficiency Statement.

Content: RESOLVED that the Executive:   1)     noted the content of the SEND Sufficiency Statement 2025-30 and, in particular, the ‘Recommendations’ for the development of additional specialist capacity in future years. 2)     formally approved the adoption of the SEND Sufficiency Statement 2025-30. 3)     noted the capital requirements for delivery will for part of future Medium Term Financial Plan considerations.
