Purpose: This report asks the Committee to consider objections received during Statutory and Public Consultations, and to agree to the making of the speed limit orders required to implement the national 20mph strategy in Kincardine and Mearns.
Content: Committee agreed to:- 1. Approve the making of The Aberdeenshire Council (Kincardine and Mearns)(Speed Limits Revocation) Order 2025; and 2. Approve the making of The Aberdeenshire Council (Kincardine and Mearns) (Speed Limits) Order 2025 subject to the following amendments: Retain the 30mph speed limit along the following roads:- Portlethen Muirend Road from the roundabout junction with the A92 to the position of the current temporary 20mph sign Muirend Road from the roundabout junction with the A92 to the entrance of the mini roundabout junction to Portlethen Retail Stonehaven Farrochie Road from it's junction with A957 Slug Road to Kirkton Road Kirkton Road from it's junction with the A90 to Malcolm's Mount
