Decision

Decision Maker: Pennines Township Committee

Outcome: Recommendations Approved

Is Key Decision?: No

Is Callable In?: Yes

Date of Decision: September 9, 2025

Purpose: To review objections received in response to a recent Traffic Order advertisement.

Content: The Township Committee considered a report of the Director of Economy and Place, which sought approval of one of the two alternative (reduced extent) schemes for subsequent update and separate statutory readvertisement of the Traffic Regulation Order for St. Andrew’s Close.   The Senior Highways Officer (Strategy) was in attendance to present the information and to address the questions and the comments of the Committee Members.   Ward Councillors informed that the scheme that residents required was under the denomination of Ri, as outlined in appendix B to the report.   Resolved that the first alternative proposal (scheme Ref. Ri) removes previously proposed double-yellow lining from the cul-de-sac(s) junction and would reduce the length of intended restriction to cover just the southerly section and bend of St. Andrew’s Close, be approved.   Reason for decision: As set out in section three of the report.   Alternatives considered and rejected: Alternative extents of prohibition of waiting restrictions were discussed and have been recommended in the report. These would not meet the request of residents.
