Decision
Review of the Wycombe District Local Plan and Delivery and Site Allocations Plan for Town Centres and Managing Development
Decision Maker: Cabinet
Outcome:
Is Key Decision?: Yes
Is Callable In?: Yes
Date of Decision: September 23, 2025
Purpose: This is a statutory review of the Wycombe District Local Plan and Delivery and Site Allocations Plan for Town Centres and Managing Development which have been adopted for over five years. It determines whether policies are out of date, and what weight should be given to them in decision making. This review is a statutory requirement related to adopted plans and is separate from the emerging Local Plan for Buckinghamshire.
Content: A review of Local Plan policies was required to be undertaken five years from the Plan’s adoption date in accordance with legislation. Both the Wycombe District Local Plan and Delivery and Site Allocations Plan for Town Centres and Managing Development had now been adopted for over five years. A review enabled local planning authorities to determine whether policies (whether one or more policies or the entire plan) required updating and, if so, to update them as necessary. The review should take into account changing circumstances affecting the area, and any relevant changes in national policy. Cabinet was asked to accept the review recommendations set out in Appendix A. RESOLVED that the conclusions of the local plan reviews of the Wycombe District Local Plan and Delivery and Site Allocations Plan for Town Centres and Managing Development, as set out in Appendix A, be approved.
