Content: Recommendations: 1.1. Agree to designate the area shown on the map in Appendix 1 to this report as the Poets Road Conservation Area. 1.2. Agree to adopt the Poets Road Conservation Area Appraisal (Appendix 2 to this report) and the Poets Road Conservation Area Management Plan (Appendix 3 to this report) and to delegate authority to the Director of Community Wealth Building to make any minor amendments to these documents that may be needed prior to their publication. 1.3. Note that public consultation on the proposed designation of the Conservation Area took place in January and February 2025. The feedback to this consultation is set out in Appendix 4. Appendix 4 also summarises the changes that have been made as a result of this consultation. 1.4. Agree to make a non-immediate Article 4 Direction (A4D) to remove some types of permitted development under the GPDO (2015) Part 1 (Development within the curtilage of a dwellinghouse) and Part 2 (Minor operations) for buildings in the conservation area, as set out in Appendix 5 to this report, and to publish the Article 4 Direction and undertake consultation for a six week period. Following the consultation period, Executive approval will be required to confirm the Article 4 Direction, which would then become effective after 12 months. Decisions: AGREED recommendations.
