Purpose: A Vision and Masterplan for the restoration of Valence House, its grounds and its reintegration into its Valence Park setting was commissioned by the Heritage Service, to recommend how best to protect the essential heritage significance of the manor house and the rare historic survival of a moat and moated enclosure.   The Cabinet will be presented with the key proposals for the restoration project, indicative costs and potential funding streams to support the phases of work.

Content: Cabinet resolved to:   (i)  Agree the Valence House and Museum and Valence Park Vision and Masterplan and the Indicative Feasibility Estimate, as detailed in Appendices A and B to the report respectively; and   (ii)  Delegate authority to the Strategy Director, Inclusive Growth and Place, in consultation with the Head of Legal and subject to the endorsement of the Procurement Board, to conduct the procurements and award and enter into the contract(s) and all other necessary or ancillary agreements with the successful bidder(s) in order to fully implement and effect the proposals.
