Purpose: As part of the Council’s approved assurance framework an update on safety and legal compliance in our housing stock

Content: Noted the Council’s progress in meeting key regulatory requirements in housing set by the Regulator of Social Housing and the Building Safety Regulator    Noted the Council’s improved performance at keeping residents safe in their homes, and the progress towards lifting the Regulatory Notice from the Regulator of Social Housing    Noted the programme of work ongoing to maintain and improve this regulatory compliance.   Noted the Council’s work to comply with Awaab’s Law, which brings in new requirements to keep tenants safe from damp, mould and condensation in their homes.
