Is Key Decision?: No
Is Callable In?: No
Date of Decision: September 30, 2025
Purpose: To provide evaluation report as part of performance reporting arrangements to the Area Committee on the AHSCP's Strategic Delivery Plan 2022-25, and to consult on the new draft Strategic Plan 2025-2035.
Content: Noted the content of the performance report provided. Agreed to provide the following comments, for inclusion in feedback to the Integration Joint Board, on the Aberdeenshire HSCP Draft Strategic Plan for 2025-2035: 1. Realising the priority of early intervention and prevention required funding to follow where it was needed. 2. Place-based arrangements – a focus on academy towns did not seem to match with addressing issues of rural inequality and access. 3. Engagement on the Deeside Strategic Needs Assessment had highlighted the value of community hospitals to communities. 4. It was understood that a focus on those most in need was required due to resources but there were concerns on the risks of this creating a later crisis. 5. Transportation, for both staff and service users, was an important issue. Further consideration of working with communities around voluntary transport was suggested. 6. Welcomed reassurances that mental health would be remain a focus moving forward.
