Purpose: To seek approval to procure and award contracts for the delivery of pedestrian accessibility measures along the A37/A4018 corridor, funded via WECA Early Works Funding, before a Full Business Case has been approved.

Content: That the Committee for Transport and Connectivity:   1. Approved the proposal to accept Early Works Funding, or other sources of funding if available, for the delivery of pedestrian accessibility measures along the A37/A4018 corridor, before a Full Business Case has been approved.   2. Authorised the Executive Director of Growth and Regeneration, in consultation with the Chair of the Transport and Connectivity Committee, to procure and award the contract to deliver pedestrian accessibility measures along the A37/A4018 corridor, in line with the procurement routes and maximum budget envelopes outlined in this report.   3. Authorised the Executive Director of Growth and Regeneration, in consultation with the Chair of the Transport and Connectivity Committee, to invoke any subsequent extensions/variations specifically defined in the contract(s) being awarded, up to the maximum budget envelope outlined in this report.
