Purpose: That Cabinet Recommends to Council to approve the addition to the Capital Programme for 2025/2026 in respect of the C11 Higham Lane/Peake Avenue - middle junction 4 arms roundabout.
Content: That Council 1. Approves the addition of £2,110,400 to the Capital Programme for 2025/2026 in respect of the C11 Higham Lane/Peake Avenue, Nuneaton - middle junction 4 arms roundabout, highways improvements scheme (the Scheme) which will be funded by the developer. 2. Explores with the developer any design changes possible within the scope of the planning permission to provide safe priority pedestrian crossing of Peake Avenue and measures to limit increased traffic routing via Peake Avenue from the Top Farm development site. 3. Explores with the Developer the feasibility of providing a safe walking and cycling route along with any required crossing facilities from the middle/south end of the Top Farm development to the junction of St Nicolas Park Avenue and Higham Lane. 4. Authorises the Executive Director for Communities to commence the procurement of all necessary contracts and agreements required to implement any revised Scheme and to enter into them on terms and conditions acceptable to the Executive Director for Resources and subject to the requirements of the section 278 agreement with the developer.
