Purpose: Procurement of electricity and gas supplies for the Council’s property.

Content: RESOLVED   It is recommended that: -   1.1.1 Cabinet approve that the Council continues as a participating authority in a tripartite contract with the LASER Energy Buying Group and enter into: -   1.1.1.1 A new ‘Green Basket Purchase in Advance’ 3 year contract with effect from 1 October 2026 for electricity; if the required volume for the Green Basket is not achieved, electricity will be purchased as set out in Paragraph 7.3.   1.1.1.2 A new ‘Purchase in Advance’ 3 year contract with effect from 1 October 2026 for gas.   1.1.2 Cabinet delegate authority to the Director of Growth & Place, in consultation with the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environmental Strategy to procure and complete gas and electricity supply contracts with the first place suppliers under the LASER framework.
