Purpose: This report details the charges for Adult Social Care services that have not been reviewed and proposes increasing them to ensure that Wirral Council recovers the costs incurred in providing them. The areas under review are Day Services, Adults Transport, Respite Care and Technology Enabled Care.
Content: Resolved - That 1. An increase in the charge for technology enabled care from £2.50 per week to £2.96 for the basic service with effect from 1 April 2026 and a new charge of £7.53 per week for the proactive and preventative service with effect from 1 April 2026 be approved; 2. An increase in the charge for Adult Transport from £9.90 per journey to £14.50 per journey with effect from 1 April 2026 be approved; and 3. An increase in the charge for Day Services from £25 for a session to £35.50 and from £50 to £71 for the full day with effect from 1 April 2026 be approved.
