Purpose:
Content: RESOLVED: Cabinet; 1. Approved the reduction in Published Admission Number (PAN) for Boothville Primary School 2. Approved the reduction in PAN for Roade Primary School 3. Approved the addition of Harlestone Manor parish to the linked area for Harlestone Primary School 4. Approved the increase in PAN for Harlestone Primary School 5. Approved the overall admission arrangements as detailed within Appendix A REASONS RESOLVED: 1. Local Authorities must determine and publish the admission arrangements for all community and voluntary controlled schools annually to ensure compliance with the School Admissions Code (2021) 2. The reductions in PAN are to ensure that schools are supported when facing falling pupil numbers due to a drop in the primary school population. ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS: The Council consulted to potentially reduce the PAN for Boothville Primary School from 90 to 60 and Roade Primary School from 60 to 30, and to increase the PAN for Harlestone Primary from 8 to 10. No objections to these proposals were received so it is proposed to proceed with a reduction in PAN for both Boothville and Roade, and add Harlestone Manor parish to the linked area for Harlestone Primary School. Following discussions with Harlestone Primary School it has been agreed to increase PAN to 12 (rather than 10).
