Purpose:

Content: 1.Cabinet is asked to delegate authority to the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Place, or her nominee, in consultation with the relevant Cabinet Portfolio Holder, to: a) Confirm that, having complied with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 and having considered the objection received, the Council will proceed with the disposal by long lease of approximately 293.9 sqm of open space land located south of and adjoining West Hill Café, and to complete all necessary legal documentation required to give effect to the disposal. b) Implement the approved capital expenditure of £250,000 for works to the West Hill Lift engine room as part of the Town Fund development of the West Hill Café, including entering into contracts, and managing delivery. c) Implement the approved capital expenditure of £200,000 for priority works to the castle itself, including entering into contracts, procuring works, and managing delivery.
