Purpose: The Annual Education Sufficiency Update was presented at 11 December 2025 Cabinet. Subsequent to that decision, a call in was received. This report covers recommendations put forward from the 6 January 2026 Children and Young Overview and Scrutiny Committee where the item was debated

Content: Resolved   That Cabinet approves the following recommendations made by the Children and Young People’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 6 January 2026:   1.     The production of sensitivity analysis data on forecasts at a local level;   2.     The organisation of District and Borough Area sufficiency workshops for elected Members;   3.     The re-evaluation of the planning areas, in particular at secondary school level; and   4.     Authorises the Executive Director for Children and Young People to implement them.
