Purpose: This report will be to make a final decision on the contract award for Rough Sleeper Support Services. The core tasks of the Contractor shall be to deliver efficient tenancy, life skills and other appropriate support to enable former rough sleepers to maintain their accommodation and to develop their ability to live more independently in the private rented or social sectors. The funding for this contract is via the Rough Sleeper Initiative funding from the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (previously the Department of Levelling Up Housing and Communities).

Content: AGREED: That Cabinet noted the report and: i)                 Approved the appointment of the recommended Preferred Bidder (See PART II) following a Tender process which had been undertaken by the Council for the Rough Sleeper Support Service Contracts. ii)               Delegated authority to the Assistant Director, Housing and Public Protection to undertake the operational work required to integrate the services provided by the Preferred Bidder into Council processes. iii)             Awarded the contract to the Preferred Bidder for an initial period of 1 year with options for two extension periods of 1 year (max duration 3 years). iv)             Confirmed that the Council notified all Bidders of the outcome and commenced the 10-day standstill period as required by Procurement Regulations.
