Purpose:

Content:   It was moved by Councillor Mustoe, seconded by Councillor Clemens and   RESOLVEDthat   1.  The committee welcomed the progress of the SEND Transformation Plan, comments on the appropriateness of the interventions, on-going monitoring arrangements as a way to work towards improving outcomes for children and making the recommended post inspection improvements within the next 18 months or, in any event, before the next inspection. 2.  The Committee welcomed the increase in productivity partly due to the  recruitment of fixed term roles funded through the Department of Education Delivering Better Value Programme and the Committee endorsed and supported proposals, as set out in the Council’s draft Budget, to continue funding these roles via alternative means.   3.  The new administration be recommended to recognise the importance of early intervention which reduced escalation.   4.  The Committee commends Send Transformation Improvement as endorsed by the positive feedback from parents.     Actions:   1.  For arrangements to be made for the Committee to attend a Parent and Carer meeting and also meet the new officer supporting the development of the SEND Communication Strategy. 2.  To arrange for the Committee to receive introduction to Trauma Informed training. 3.
