The Pension Board of Scottish Borders Council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, 18 June 2026, to discuss the rotation of its Chair and Vice-Chair, and to consider the membership of the board following a resignation. The meeting will also include a joint session with the Pension Committee.
Rotation of Chair and Vice-Chair
The board is scheduled to formally rotate its Chair and Vice-Chair positions in accordance with the Pension Board Constitution.
Membership of the Pension Board
Following the resignation of Ms K Robb, the board is scheduled to note the updated membership. The proposed new membership includes Councillor Julie Pirone (Scottish Borders Council), Mr R MacNay (Live Borders), Ms N McArthur (South of Scotland Enterprise), Ms L Murray (Borders College), Mr D Bell (Unite), Mr M Drysdale (GMB), Ms K M Hughes (Unison), and Mr A Stavert (Unison).
Appointment of Replacement Member to the Pension Fund Investment and Performance Sub-Committee
Consideration is scheduled to be given to the appointment of a replacement member to the Pension Fund Investment and Performance Sub-Committee, to fill the vacancy left by Ms K Robb.
Joint Meeting of Pension Committee and Pension Board
The board is scheduled to consider any issues that may need to be raised during a joint meeting with the Pension Committee. This will be followed by a private session to discuss matters that may involve the disclosure of exempt information, as permitted under the Local Government (Scotland) Act 19731.

The Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 is a piece of legislation that governs the operation of local authorities in Scotland. Section 50A(4) of this Act allows for the exclusion of the public from meetings when certain types of information are likely to be disclosed.
