The Southern Planning Committee of Shropshire Council met on Tuesday 30 June 2026. During the meeting, Councillor Beverley Waite was elected as the new Chair of the committee, and the minutes from the previous meeting held on 26 May 2026 were approved. The date for the next meeting was also confirmed.

Election of Chairman

Councillor Beverley Waite was elected as the Chair of the Southern Planning Committee for the remainder of the municipal year. Councillor Nick Hignett, who had been serving as Vice Chair, called for nominations, and Councillor Waite was duly elected. Upon taking the chair, Councillor Waite thanked the committee for their election.

Apologies for Absence

Apologies for absence were received from Councillor George Hollyhead.

Minutes

The minutes of the Southern Planning Committee meeting held on 26 May 2026 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.
