The Audit & Governance Committee of Shropshire Council met on Thursday 14 May 2026. During the meeting, Councillor Sharon Ritchie-Simmons was elected as the new Chair of the committee, and Councillor Kate Halliday was appointed as Vice-Chairman.
Election of Chairman
Councillor Sharon Ritchie-Simmons was elected as the Chairman of the Audit and Governance Committee for the forthcoming municipal year. This decision was proposed, seconded, and duly resolved by the committee.
Appointment of Vice Chairman
Councillor Kate Halliday was appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Audit and Governance Committee for the forthcoming municipal year. This appointment was also proposed, seconded, and duly resolved by the committee.
