Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) Schools Budget 2024-25

A report was scheduled to be presented outlining the proposed Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) Schools Budget for the 2024-25 academic year. This budget proposal was intended for consultation and agreement by the Schools Forum before the Council's overall budget is set and approved by Full Council in February 2024. The DSG is a significant source of funding for schools, allocated by the government to local authorities to support education.

Early Years National Funding Formula 2024-25

The forum was also scheduled to consider the Early Years National Funding Formula for 2024-25. This discussion was to take place following the confirmation of the provisional DSG Early Years' (EY) Block funding for Brent. The Schools Forum was expected to provide endorsement for the local EY Funding Formula for the upcoming year.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting and Actions Arising

The minutes from the previous Schools Forum meeting, held on Thursday 16 November 2023, were scheduled for approval as a correct record. Additionally, the forum was to consider any actions that arose from that previous meeting.

Future Meetings

The schedule of dates for future Schools Forum meetings during 2023/24 was also to be noted, with the next meeting planned for Tuesday 20 February 2024. Unless otherwise notified, all meetings are to be held online, commencing at 6:00 pm.
