The committee considered the application for the demolition of existing structures and the erection of a local market dwelling at Avon Carrow, Avon Dassett. The proposal included the conversion of an existing traditional building to a garage. Mr M Worrall was the applicant, and the application was supported by Councillor Darrell Muffitt of Avon Dassett Parish Council. However, Julia Charlesworth, representing Avon Carrow Management Company, objected to the proposal. Jayne Cashmore, the agent, and Richard Worrall, the joint owner of the site, were present to answer questions.
The committee unanimously resolved to refuse the application, citing reasons detailed in the officer's report. Councillor Parry proposed the motion, seconded by Councillor Edden.
Application 23/03175/FUL - Church Farm (Brailes) Limited, Sutton-under-Brailes
The application for a self-build rural workers dwelling to replace a substandard agricultural workers dwelling at Church Farm, Sutton-under-Brailes was discussed. The proposal included part demolition and change of use of a Dutch barn. The Rural Planning Company was the applicant, represented by Sally Moore and Tom Marshall. Councillor Whalley-Hoggins, the District Council Ward Member, also spoke on the matter.
The committee resolved to refuse the application by a vote of 7 to 1, with 1 abstention. Councillor Adam proposed the motion, seconded by Councillor Parry.
Application 24/00222/VARY - Risingfields Farm, Lighthorne Road, Kineton
The committee reviewed the application to vary conditions related to approved plans and drainage for a new farmhouse with staff accommodation at Risingfields Farm, Lighthorne Road, Kineton. Mr and Mrs Hargreaves were the applicants, and Councillor David Gosling of Kineton Parish Council objected to the proposal.
The committee unanimously resolved to grant the application, subject to conditions and notes detailed in the officer's report. Councillor Edden proposed the motion, seconded by Councillor Parry.
Application 24/00521/FUL - Tudor House, Middletown Lane, Studley
Councillor Edden withdrew from the table for this item and addressed the committee as the Ward Member. The application for a two-storey rear and side extension at Tudor House, Middletown Lane, Studley was discussed. Mr and Mrs R Razgauskis were the applicants, represented by Dan Hemming.
The committee resolved to refuse the application by a vote of 6 to 2. Councillor Adam proposed the motion, seconded by Councillor Parry.
