The Committee interviewed candidates for the position of Strategic Director of Resource. Following the interview process, the Committee resolved to offer the post to Rob Manning. This offer is contingent upon the successful completion of the necessary appointment checks. Under the Officer Employment Procedure Rules, which form part of the Council's Constitution, any offer of employment for chief officer and heads of service appointments can only be made if no significant objections are received from Cabinet members. The Democratic Services team confirmed that they had consulted with Cabinet members regarding this appointment.
