Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Hammersmith and Fulham and are not the council. About us
The Licensing Sub-Committee of Hammersmith and Fulham Council is scheduled to consider applications for the variation of premises licences for two local businesses. The meeting will address proposed changes to operating hours for a food establishment and a takeaway.
Eat Well Naturally, 123-125 Wandsworth Bridge Road, London, SW6 2TS
The committee is scheduled to consider a variation to the premises licence for Eat Well Naturally, located at 123-125 Wandsworth Bridge Road, London, SW6 2TS. The application, submitted by Krystals Express Lymington Ltd, seeks to extend the premises' opening hours to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Currently, the premises are open from 06:00 to 23:00, with alcohol sales permitted off the premises between 08:00 and 23:00.
The report pack indicates that the application has received an objection from the Noise and Nuisance Team, citing concerns about potential public nuisance due to increased noise from customers and vehicle movements during sensitive night-time hours. The Noise and Nuisance Team notes that the premises are located in a mixed residential and commercial area, with residential properties situated directly above and adjacent to the business. The applicant has proposed additional conditions to promote the licensing objectives, including the installation and maintenance of CCTV, a robust age verification policy, and comprehensive staff training. The applicant has also agreed to add conditions such as lockable shutters for alcohol display units.
Pizza Hut Delivery, 284-286 King Street, London, W6 0SP
The committee is also scheduled to consider a variation to the premises licence for Pizza Hut Delivery, located at 284-286 King Street, London, W6 0SP. The application, submitted by JJ & Team Ltd, seeks to extend the hours for late-night refreshment. The current licence permits late-night refreshment outdoors only between 23:00 and 00:30, with no restrictions on the premises' opening hours. The proposed variation would allow for late-night refreshment indoors and outdoors from 23:00 to 01:00 from Sunday to Thursday, and from 23:00 to 02:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Takeaway hours after the premises close to the public would also be extended.
The report pack indicates that objections have been received from the Noise and Nuisance Team and a local resident. The Noise and Nuisance Team's objection is based on the grounds of public nuisance, citing concerns about increased disturbance from late-night delivery vehicle movements, staff activity, and footfall from delivery riders during sensitive hours. The local resident also objects to the extended hours, highlighting the residential nature of the area and the potential disruption from mopeds collecting orders into the early hours. The applicant has agreed to numerous conditions with the Police Licensing Team, including the installation and maintenance of CCTV, a daily incident log, comprehensive staff training, and prominent signage requesting customers and delivery drivers to leave the area quietly. The applicant has also agreed that the premises will be closed to walk-in customers at 00:00 hours each day, operating for delivery orders only thereafter.
