Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Wandsworth and are not the council. About us
The Richmond and Wandsworth Joint Staffing Committee is scheduled to convene on Thursday, 18 June 2026. The primary focus of the meeting will be the recruitment and selection process for a new permanent Chief Executive, who also holds the position of Head of Paid Service for both Richmond and Wandsworth Councils. The committee will also review the minutes from their previous meeting held on 26 March 2026.
Recruitment and Selection for New Chief Executive
A key item on the agenda is the consideration of a report concerning the recruitment and selection process for the permanent new Chief Executive (Head of Paid Service). This report is to be provided by the Executive Director of Change and Innovation. The committee will also consider a resolution to exclude the press and public from this part of the meeting. This is due to the likelihood of disclosing exempt information, which includes personal details relating to an identifiable individual. The report pack notes that disclosure of the information would inhibit (a) the free and frank provision of advice or (b) the free and frank exchange of views for the purposes of deliberation.
