Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Lambeth and are not the council. About us
The Lambeth Together Care Partnership Board met on Thursday 3 September 2026 to discuss progress on various health and care initiatives across the borough. Key decisions included the consideration and approval of the Living Well Network Alliance's progress report and support for the Homeless Health Programme's developments.
Place Executive Lead Update
Andrew Eyres, Place Executive Lead for Lambeth and Corporate Director of Integrated Health and Care, provided an update on key developments. He highlighted the government's commitment to place-based working, aligning with Lambeth's existing partnership approach outlined in 'Our Health, Our Lambeth'. The report detailed progress in establishing Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) to support frail individuals, those with multiple long-term conditions, and children and young people with complex needs. Preventative measures, including Health Checks, mental health outreach, and smoking cessation services, were also discussed. Andrew Eyres also noted the upcoming recruitment for Patient and Public Voice (PPV) Board member roles and thanked Jasmina Lijesevic for her contributions as Lay Member.
Lambeth Together Oversight Group (LTOG) Update
Warren Beresford presented an update from the Lambeth Together Oversight Group (LTOG), summarising discussions from meetings on 14 July and 11 August 2026. The group reviewed progress on the Staying Healthy Programme, noting a 21% increase in NHS Health Checks and improvements in uptake among men and ethnic minority communities. Updates on Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) indicated a continued increase in demand, with efforts underway to improve waiting times and communication with parents. The LTOG also reviewed the Integrated Assurance Report, which showed that most performance measures were on track, though data for some indicators was still being developed. Discussions also covered general practice access, the work of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Group, and the challenges of digital inclusion.
Lambeth Together Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) Update
Oge Chesa, Director of Primary Care and Transformation, presented an update on the Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) meeting held on 15 July 2026. The Board noted and supported the content of the PCCC's slide pack and ratified decisions made at the PCCC meeting. Discussions touched upon the Xyla contracts and whether they would continue to offer blood pressure monitoring, with an action to follow up on this query. The PCCC's work aims to ensure accessible and equitable general practice services and mitigate healthcare inequalities.
Living Well Network Alliance (LWNA) Update
Guy Swindle, Deputy Director of the Living Well Network Alliance (LWNA), presented an update on the alliance's work and planned developments in community mental health services. The Board considered the information provided and approved the progress report, which detailed efforts to improve access to mental health support through a strengthened Single Point of Access (SPA), clearer stepped care, and neighbourhood-based services. A key priority is reducing the disproportionate use of crisis services by Black residents and improving early support and recovery outcomes for this group. Discussions highlighted the importance of clear communication about patient pathways and the need to address referral feedback mechanisms. The alliance also confirmed the availability of demographic data to track outcomes across different communities.
Homeless Health Programme
Paul Davis, Tim Greenhalgh, Emma Casey, Ryan Jackson, Alfie Villeneau, Daniel Lehmann, and Colleen Davis presented on the Homeless Health Programme. The Board supported the update on developments and approved the progress report. Discussions focused on ensuring a coordinated approach to services for individuals experiencing homelessness, with a priority to review all services to avoid overlap. The team is also modelling a previous prevention pilot to understand its learnings for the service. Dr Raj Mitra highlighted the prevalence of adverse childhood experiences among homeless individuals and the potential for practices to address this. Questions were raised regarding the early identification of risks for looked-after children, the funding and scope of the Integrated Health Network (IHN), and support for individuals without a local connection to Lambeth.
