The Appeals Board of Gloucestershire Council met on Monday 14 September 2026 to consider appeals regarding charges for home to school transport. The meeting agenda included time for public and members' questions, followed by the main item of hearing appeals.
Hearing of Appeals
The primary focus of the meeting was scheduled to be the hearing of appeals concerning charges for assistance with home to school transport. The report pack provided to attendees contained information relating to these appeals, spanning pages 1 to 78. The membership of the board for this item consisted of Councillor Stuart Graham, Councillor Beki Hoyland (Leader of the Green Group), and Councillor Steve Robinson (Vice-Chair of Council). The board also had the option to exclude the press and public from this part of the meeting, citing provisions within the Local Government Act 1972 that allow for the exclusion of information relating to individuals or financial and business affairs.
The agenda also included standard procedural items such as the appointment of a chairperson, and the opportunity for public and members' questions.
