The Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) of Wiltshire Council is scheduled to convene on Tuesday 3 November 2026. The primary focus of the meeting will be to consider and determine a school transport appeal.
School Transport Appeal
The committee is scheduled to consider a school transport appeal. This will involve reviewing an officer's report, the appellant's submission and supporting evidence, and relevant transport policy and law. The officer's report is detailed across pages 9 to 22 of the public reports pack1. The appellant's submission and supporting evidence are contained within pages 23 to 104. The legal and policy framework surrounding school transport is outlined in pages 105 to 196 of the same document.
The meeting will also address procedural matters, including the election of a Chairman and the noting of meeting procedures. It is anticipated that the press and public may be excluded from part of the meeting to allow for the consideration of exempt information related to the school transport appeal, as outlined in section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 19722.
