The Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) of Wiltshire Council is scheduled to convene on Tuesday 3 November 2026. The primary focus of the meeting will be to consider and determine a school transport appeal.
School Transport Appeal
The committee is scheduled to consider and determine a school transport appeal. This will involve reviewing an officer's report, the appellant's submission and supporting evidence, and relevant transport policy and law. The officer's report is detailed across pages 9 to 26 of the public reports pack. The appellant's submission and supporting evidence are contained within pages 27 to 46. The committee will also refer to transport policy and law, which is documented across pages 47 to 138 of the public reports pack.
The meeting is scheduled to take place in Committee Room D at the Council Offices, Monkton Park, Chippenham, SN15 1ER, commencing at 2:30 pm. The agenda documents indicate that the public may be excluded from part of the meeting to discuss the school transport appeal, as it is likely that exempt information would be disclosed. This exclusion would be in accordance with section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, where the public interest in withholding information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.
The attendees for this meeting are Cllr Denise Bates, Cllr Eunja Palmén, and Cllr Chris Vaughan. The agenda also lists several substitute members who may attend.
The council may record this meeting for live and/or subsequent broadcast. Information regarding the council's guidance on recording and webcasting of meetings is available on request, and their privacy policy can be found online.
