The Employment Sub-Committee met to discuss the appointment of a new Executive Director - Growth. Following a discussion of the candidates in a closed session, the committee voted to appoint Naisha Polaine to the role.
Appointment of Executive Director - Growth
The committee met to discuss the appointment of a new Executive Director - Growth. This new role was created as part of the changes to the senior management team at Barnet Council that were approved by the council on 21 May 20241.
The Sub-Committee had previously met on the 18 July to appoint a new Director of Public Health for the borough, choosing Dr Janet Djomba for the role. This time the committee were considering an exempt report, Appointment of the Executive Director Growth2. This report contained information about the candidates for the role of Executive Director Growth. After noting the contents of the report, the committee moved into a closed session to discuss the candidates' suitability for the role.
When the meeting resumed, the committee voted to appoint Naisha Polaine to the vacant position.
