Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Barnet and are not the council. About us
The Planning Committee of Barnet Council met on Thursday 26 September 2024, discussing several planning applications. Key decisions included the refusal of an application to fell four London plane trees and reduce two oak trees at The Thomas Watson Cottage Homes due to insufficient justification for the loss of amenity value. The committee approved floodlighting at East Barnet School, the conversion of a dwelling into three flats at 21 Hampstead Gardens, and the construction of a third floor to provide two flats at Marwood Court. Additionally, the committee approved the demolition of a dwelling and erection of a new building with six flats at 4 Woodside Avenue, the installation of an electric vehicle charging point and advertising screen on Russell Lane, and the creation of five additional flats on the roof of Torrington Court.
